Mykola Tomenko: New Authorities neglected the Constitution and rejected Ukrainian Culture and Language
Commenting on the today´s scrutiny and adoption of the "State Program on Economic and Social Development of Ukraine for 2010" Mykola Tomenko, Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, emphasised that it took into the consideration a number of his remarks and motions regarding the social and humanitarian development of the state in the course of the next year.
M. Tomenko emphasised that it is the first time that the whole system of power and government put in the forefront banking system, modernization of the economics, entrepreneurship etc. "Though the civilized countries pay special attention to the instruments of the improvement of people´s life", he emphasised."If one evaluates "State Program on Economic and Social Development of Ukraine for the Year 2010", it seems that it, at least, delays the implementation of the election program of Victor Yanukovych for the year 2010. From such theatric promises as increase entering list of 20 most economically developed countries in tem year term, increase of population to 50 millions until the year 2020 and ending in taxation vacations for 5 years, reduction of VAT etc, hence there is no strategy of their implementation in even far away future", the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated.
M. Tomenko repeatedly made the point that in such a away, adopted "State Program on Economic and Social Development of Ukraine for 2010" does not mention at least once the necessity to develop and support Ukrainian language and Ukrainian culture.
